A talk by Christine Lambie on the Philosopher Epictetus

Christine Lambie

How to survive life’s slings and arrows? Here is a man with the answers. He has been constantly rediscovered over centuries. He is a hero from the ancient world – come and meet ‘Epictetus’.

Epictetus was a Greek-speaking Stoic Philosopher who taught and practised philosophy as a way of life and not just as a theoretical study.

Christine Lambie has studied Classical Greek Philosophy as well as Indian Philosophy.  She has been for many years a senior member of the School of Economic Science with an interest in applying philosophy in contemporary life.
